Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Pushpanjali (പുഷ്പാഞ്ജലി) means a “floral offering,” a gesture of reverence and beau-ty; Divyasayana (ദിവ്യശയനം) blends “divine” (divya/divyaṁ) with “resting place” (sha-yanam). Together, Pushpanjali Divyasayana evokes “the bed of divine floral offering”—a sanctified sanctuary of sleep blessed with tradition and serenity. A sublime manifestation of Kerala’s regal woodcraft lineage, Pushpanjali Divyasayana is a four-poster canopy bed crafted in the image of a temple sanctum. With ornate carvings, temple-inspired pillars, and motifs radiating sacred artistry, it elevates the bedroom to a celestial cloister. Each surface whispers of devotion and royalty, sheltering dreams in the embrace of transcendent comfort, all shaped by artisans whose touch echoes ancestral memory.

Sacred Parts, Timeless Wholeness

Each component reflects a story of devotion, culture, and skilled hands

Vamsa Mukuta of Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Vamsa Mukuta

The crowning detail of the headboard, the Vamsa Mukuta flourishes with lotus vines, scrolling foliage, and motifs of ancestral heritage. Hand-carved as an ode to one’s line, it is regal and dignified—a visual affirmation of family roots and timeless grace, reminiscent of emblems seen above royal beds of yore.

Deva Stambha of Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Deva Stambha

The Deva Stambha rise solemnly on all four corners, inspired by the flagstaffs and sanc-tum columns of ancient shrines. Swathed in brass and shaped to ceremonial fineness, they are more than structure—they are sacred sentinels holding aloft the abode of rest.

Megha Bandhana of Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Megha Bandhana

The canopy’s crowning lattice, Megha Bandhana, recalls the veiled vastness of monsoon skies glimpsed through temple corridors. Each interlocked beam invites drapes or netting, creating a sanctum that feels both infinite and intimate—a space where divine clouds seem to float overhead.

Mayura Kanti of Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Mayura Kanti

Running along the canopy’s edge is the Mayura Kanti—a valance carved in graceful arcs inspired by peacock plumes. A nod to India’s bird of beauty and spirituality, these feath-ered borders soften the geometry, echoing the friezes of temples and courts, and adding rhythm and royal flourish.

Sthira Peetham of Pushpanjali Divyasayana

Sthira Peetham

The Sthira Peetham grounds the bed in stability and presence—sturdy, dignified, and en-during. Borrowing its spirit from temple pedestals and thrones, this robust base ensures every restful moment is elevated, both literally and spiritually.
